Isola d'Elba is the largest island in Tuscany and is in the Tyrrhenian Sea, at nearly 20 kilometers from the coast. Elba, together with the other islands of Archipelagic Tuscany (Pianosa, Capraia, Montecristo, Giglio and Giannutri) is part of the Archipelagic Tuscany National Park.
The island is divided into eight towns, all belonging to Livorno: Portoferraio, Campo nell'Elba, Capoliveri, Marciana, Marciana Marina, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina e Rio nell'Elba, of a total of nearly 30.000 inhabitants, which increase a lot during the summer season.
The island’s climate is typically Mediterranean with mild winters and hot summers, but almost never torrid. The rainy season is concentrated in the autumn period and is mostly contained.
There are two ferryboat companies that transport to Elba: Moby Lines and Toremar.

Tom Appartamenti is a little complex at only 150 meters from the sandy beach of Barbarossa, a beautiful bay 1500 meters far from the village of Porto Azzurro.
